Beady Eye - Different Gear, Still Speeding

Então o Oasis se separou e deixou a sua família de milhões "orfã". Até hoje é um mistério o que aconteceu em Paris, já que cada Gallagher dá a sua versão, mas desde aquela noite, a banda, que já tinha pedido aos fãs que não colocassem suas vidas nas mãos de uma banda de rock, jogou tudo fora.

Brigas à parte, Liam está com a sua nova banda, e desde o lançamento da primeira música, Bring The Light, em novembro de 2010, vem recebendo opiniões muito divergentes e a maior parte delas compara a banda ao Oasis.

Em Different Gear, Still Speeding, Liam tem uma liberdade maior para escrever suas próprias músicas, enquanto no Oasis ele não tinha tanto espaço para compôr. Há no álbum também diversas composições de Gem Archer e Andy Bell, que junto com Chris Sharrock, deixaram Noel e acompanharam Liam em sua nova banda.

Mas Noel ainda parece ser uma pedra nos sapatos Pretty Green do Liam. Four Letter Word, que abre o disco parece se referir a ele, e quando Noel anunciou detalhes sobre seu álbum solo, a resposta de Liam em seu Twitter foi simples: SHITBAG.

Continuando, DG,SS é um ótimo álbum de estreia. Há nele faixas um pouco mais fracas comparadas a outras, mas o disco mostra que o Liam não depende do Noel, tendo lançado até músicas que podem se tornar hinos como várias do Oasis se tornaram. Alguns exemplos são The Roller, The Morning Son e, o mais recente single, The Beat Goes On.

Eu, mad fer it que sou, posso ser suspeito para falar, mas em minha opinião, Our Kid está de parabéns.

So Oasis split up and left its family of millions "orphan". What really happened that night in Paris is still a mystery, as each Gallagher gives his version, but since that night, the band, that had already asked to the fans not to put their lifes in the hand of a rock and roll band, threw it all away.

Liam has his new band, and since the release of the first song, Bring The Light, it is recieving the most different opinions and the most part of them compare the band to Oasis.

In Different Gear, Still Speeding, Liam has a greater liberty to write his own songs, while in Oasis he hadn't so many space to compose. There is also many compositions oh Gem Archer and Andy Bell, that along with Chris Sharrock, left Noel and joined Liam in his new band.

However, Noel seems to be a stone in Liam's Pretty Green shoes. Four Letter Word, that opens the disc seems to be about him, and when Noel announced deatils about his solo album, Liam's answer in his Twitter was simple: SHITBAG.

Going on, DG,SS is a great debut album. In it there some weaker songs compared to the other ones, but Liam shows he doesn't depends on Noel, having great songs, that can turn into hymns like many Oasis' songs turned. Some examples are The Roller, The Morning Son and, the more recent single, The Beat Goes On.

Mad fer it as I am, I can be a little suspect to say, but in my opinion, Our Kid deserves congratulations.
