Foo Fighters - Wasting Light

Foo Fighters é aquela banda que tem como frontman o Rei Midas, quero dizer, Dave Grohl.
Enquanto Kurt Cobain quebrava suas guitarras, lá atrás estava Dave destruindo, mas não em sentido literal, na bateria. Com o fim do Nirvana, esse cara gravou praticamente sozinho um dos melhores álbuns de estreia dos anos 90, mais cinco álbuns se seguiram, vieram colaborações com diversas outras bandas e até o super grupo, Them Crooked Vultures, com Dave na bateria, Josh Homme do Queens Of The Stone Age no vocal e na guitarra e nada mais nada mesmo que John Paul Jones, ex-Led Zeppelin no baixo.
O fato é que o Nirvana foi o maior símbolo do Grunge, o Them Crooked Vultures é ótimo e, como tudo em que esse cara toca vira ouro, o Foo Fighters não podia ser diferente.

Wasting Light segue o mesmo estilo do Foo Fighters que vem dado certo há tantos anos, mas como o próprio Dave diz, esse pode ser o álbum mais pesado da banda até agora. Gravado na garagem de Grohl, conta com os ótimos singles Walk e Rope, que tem um solo monstuoso, belas músicas como These Days, ótimos solos e linhas de bateria em todas as músicas e até uma participação do ex-companheiro de Nirvana Krist Novoselic em I Should Have Known.
Apesar de eu ainda preferir Dave na bateria, e no Nirvana, seria estupidez não reconhecer o talento dele, e o quanto a banda é boa, e esse álbum é mais uma afirmação disso.

Na verdade, demorei um pouco para ouvir o álbum, que foi lançado em abril. Estava perdendo tempo, Wasting Light é mesmo maravilhoso.

Foo Fighters is a band that has the King Midas as frontman, I mean, Dave Grohl.
While Kurt Cobain was breaking his guitar, behind there, there was Dave destroying, but not literally, on the drums. With Nirvana's end, this guy has recorded pratically alone one of the best debut albuns of the 90's, another five albuns came, as well as colaborations with many other bands and even the supergroup, Them Crooked Vultures, with Dave on the drums, Josh Homme of the Queens Of The Stone Age on the vocals and the guitar and John Paul Jones, ex-Led Zeppelin on the bass.
The fact is that Nirvana was the greatest symbol of Grunge, Them Crooked Vultures is terrific and, as everything this man touches, or plays, turns gold, Foo Fighters could not be different.


Wasting Light keeps the same Foo Fighters' style that has making sucess since long ago,but as Dave himself said, this can be the heaviest album of the band yet. Recorded at Grohl's garage,it counts whit the great singles Walk and Rope, which has a monstruos solo, beauty songs as These Days, great solos and drum lines in every song and even a participation of the ex-Nirvana Krist Novoselic in I Should Have Known.
I still prefer Dave on the drums, and in Nirvana, it's stupid not recognise his talent, and how much the band is good. This album is one more affirmation of that.

In fact, I took some time to listen to the album, that was released on April. I was wasting time, Wasting Light is amazing.
